The power of Creative Commons

On this site, I have taken the pictures or used pictures through a creative commons source like Flickr (rather than Google images, which takes pictures from websites, which might have copyrighted or restricted images and aren't free to use). However, pictures from Flickr are free to use.

Creative Commons offers people a great way to share their work, in the way that they would like, in really simple to understand language. You can specify whether your work can be used with or without credit to you, with or without modifications, and, I believe, with or without the intention to make money. So it is really useful. Thanks for bringing this up!

I've read a good deal of information published using the Creative Commons licensing model. It's a very interesting idea, and one that I would have thought too progressive to survive in a capitalist society, but I'm glad to see that it is alive and doing well.
